what's the deal?

The Anti-Racism Kit (ARK) relaunched on 22 Sep. Within two days of launching, we had accumulated 1000 followers on our Instagram. We've also got some press coverage. How exciting!

• HOLD UP. What IS the Anti-Racism Kit? 🔍

We're still trying to distribute ARK to as many places as we can. With prep for other media releases as well as further stages of the Kit's expansion coming ahead for us, our hands are full.

We need to maintain momentum by getting the kit into the hands of as many high school students as possible.

can you help us out?

Applicants must be: A young Person of Colour/First Nations person (high school student or recent high school graduate). We highly encourage Bla(c)k and SWANA (South West Asia and North Africa) voices to apply!

• Why?

Applicants who are still in high school can definitely apply!

criteria:

<aside> 💡 Previous experience in a similar role is preferable, but not a must!

<aside> 💡 As a part of ARK, you may be working with young people who are still in high school, so if you are ≥18 years old you should have/be willing to get a Working With Children Check (WWCC)!

• Be a creative hustler with a love for problem-solving: We're always brainstorming new ideas of how to distribute effectively, and we want someone who can think creatively to come up with new ideas! Many tasks in distributing the kit don't have a clear line of attack, so you'll have to be flexible about what works or doesn't on the job.
• Comfortable with communication, and reaching out to different communities and stakeholders: keep in mind that as you try and distribute the Kit to as many places as possible, this may involve staying in touch and building rapport with different stakeholders and communities!
• Have initiative - be willing to scrap things together to get things done!
• Passionate about anti-racism and willing to talk about it!
• Able to work in a team AND independently

what will this involve?

<aside> 💥 Everyone on ARK (aside from consultants, artists and web developers outside of the Kit that were commissioned by HUE. so that the second version could be completed) is a volunteer. This is a volunteer position.
